Tanner Clinic to open new east Layton location
LAYTON — East Layton will soon be home to Tanner Clinic’s fifth location.
The Davis County-based, multi-specialty health care clinic has broken ground on the new facility, which will be located in east Layton just off U.S. Highway 193, according to a press release. It will house an OB/GYN, family medicine physicians, a pediatrician and support staff.
Matt Page, Tanner Clinic marketing manager, said the new clinic is scheduled to be completed by Aug. 31.
The plan for the Layton East location has been in the works for about a year. The company began looking at property a year ago and purchased the location in the fall, Page said.
Page said the clinic is the result of Tanner Clinic’s growth.
“[The growth] allows for more access to physicians to serve our patients in the East Layton and Layton areas,” he said.
According to the release, the new location will be Tanner Clinic’s second facility opened within a year — a new 45,000 square foot building at 2121 North 1700 West in Layton opened in summer 2015.
“We’re excited at the continued growth of the community and Tanner Clinic, and we’re grateful for our patients who make this growth possible,” said Marshall McKinnon, Tanner Clinic CEO, in the release.
Tanner Clinic has locations in Layton, Syracuse, Kaysville and Roy.
