The Conversation: Winning is everything

Both are important,

The journey and the dream,

The coming out and the entering in.

Without the Journey

The dream is a futile entering into yourself

Where you ride a monotonous wheel

That spins around you alone

With the journey

The entering in is itself a journey

That does not end inside you

But passes through the self and

Out the other side of you

Where you ride the wheel

You found inside.

To remain inside too long

Makes the Journey a fairytale Odyssey

And the dream becomes illusion.

The wheel must spin on the real road

here your dream leads you.

To remain on the road too long

Dims the dream until you no longer see it

And the road replaces the dream.

The journey and the dream

Are one balanced act of love

And both are realized

Outside the mind

–Murray Bodo

Everybody, everybody wants a win-win situation in their finances, relationships, career, children,  and one’s own sense of purpose. The elusive win-win dynamic happens only when you win first.  If winning in life is important to you, then you must first win on an individual level. Winning in  your own life means you can help others win. Life is waiting for you to give to yourself. Does  winning feel good? So, why don’t more people win? We spend most of our waking hours  thinking about losing, that losing becomes second nature and our future if ignored.

Today and every day that follows is about collecting wins. When we are winning, we experience  greater levels of confidence, decision making, happiness, and overall sense of purpose. In  comparison I do not believe I need to explain what losing feels like. If not directed and learned  from losing will follow you to the end of life until released. Learning to talk with yourself is the  most natural form of giving. We were born to be winners. Winning is not a sometime thing; it is an all the time thing. However, winning is an inner outward process of self-reflection and  courage.

“We have no business being in nobody’s business but our own.”

Do not steer from the prize. Giving turns into receiving, which comes full circle in the cycle of winning. In this cycle is the completion of which certain phenomena return in the same order it  was given. All parties that partake in the giving benefit in helping all to move closer to being  their higher selves and alchemy is demonstrated. Winning is in our DNA, contrary to all beliefs.

Winning comes from within and is achieved when you first believe you are a winner. So, what if  you do not win? What will you do with the other side of winning, called losing? Life is  conspiring in our favor always no matter what path we have chosen. We have been taught that  losing is unacceptable, undesirable, and something to be avoided. Understanding winning helps  us understand losing as you will see they are one in the same. Winning and losing can both be  win-win situations because they are connected to one another.

Whatever paradigms you have about winning, forget them, at least for the duration of this article  and allow yourself to be open to an unfamiliar perspective on winning. Advice is not mine to  give, only influence at best. If I have your attention, let us look at winning this way. Winning is  not achieved in the physical world, but in the intangible world of thoughts, feelings, emotions,  and spirit.

“You are it, the answer to all your questions, the answer to the win-win”

If we are not winning in life, it does not necessarily mean we are losing, only that another path  has been chosen to get to winning. This latter path called losing can be whatever you want it to  be. To win we must act on what makes us feel alive, and what makes us feel alive is being our  best self, our higher self, like the moth drawn to the flame. When we are losing in life, the only

thing we can think about is loss, therefore, giving us more of what we do not desire. Human  beings are great givers to others, but not to themselves. Why are you waiting to win? What are  you waiting for? How could winning change your life today?
