The Conversation: What’s inside

Letroy WoodsThe conversation is a community where freedom exists to have profound and challenging dialogues, with the space for expression and growth. What is inside of us has the capacity to change the world, if we are vulnerable enough to let it out. This part of the conversation will be called “What is inside.” I now invite you into the world within, where many people spend very little time, and have reservations about what they share. May my courage show you that we can move about our environments and feel safe. This insert is from my personal journals.
Personal Identity Statement
“Like a child who is being taught a lesson, the truth is revealing itself to me, and there is no turning back. I have been down that road before, and it has nothing for me. For if I falter and choose this latter path, and will die without ever getting what is mine to experience. I was created for transformation and am destined for greatness. The world will be mine for the taking, and something beautiful will come of it. The time of self-doubt, fear, inferiority, and all that stands in my way has been the battle for the ages. However, the real war that I wage is within myself.
This battle has already been won because now I know what I am in the grand scheme of the universe, and the gift bestowed upon me is part of a magnificent plan. From this day forward, I
hold myself accountable and responsible that I have complete control of the beauty that will emanate from me and into the world, changing everything in its path.
Allowing my blessings to go in vain is a disservice to my source and to all that I love. My life in its entirety was necessary to open my eyes to the truth that has been knocking at the door, vanity no more. I do not desire to die, for the death I speak of is one of being alive, but dead inside. This is a past, and a lesson, but not who I am. My adversities, mistakes, and problems do not define me. So, world, get ready for what is coming, because I truly understand what it means to love myself now, and with open arms, I can be set free, breaking the chains of yesterday. I will show you who I am, so I can show you who you are. My contribution to mediocrity ends today.”
I share my conversation with you today because I believe in something bigger than myself, and the only way for impact to happen is through me, and in the process of becoming something, everything touched by its power will forever be changed. The conversation is the place where one lives and dwells and awaits for you and me to walk through its door. Inside is where we live, and the outside is a manifestation of the inner conversation. Be courageous in your walk, and with each new step you will set yourself free.
