SALT LAKE CITY — Front Climbing Club members can now get their belay on at the largest climbing gym in Utah.
The club officially opened its new 50,000 square foot climbing and fitness facility in Salt Lake City on Monday. The new gym features 70 feet of birch and hardwood climbing walls, yoga studios and training spaces. Future plans include an outdoor courtyard. Members of the Front Climbing Club in Ogden also have full access to the Salt Lake City gym.
“This isn’t your average climbing gym,” said Dustin Buckthal, owner of The Front Climbing Club, in a statement. “Our goal is to not only provide a world-class indoor climbing and training facility, but to also offer a space that fosters a community.”
Local company Vertical Solutions constructed the Salt Lake City gym’s expansion. The company also built the expansion to the Ogden climbing gym last January.

The Salt Lake City gym will celebrate its opening with a membership sale from Nov. 30 – Dec. 13 in partnership with Petzl.
