Bountiful RDA to help renovate lumber building

BOUNTIFUL — The Bountiful Redevelopment Agency has approved a $250,000 loan to help fund a renovation project at the existing Bountiful Lumber building on Main Street.?In action taken recently, the RDA voted unanimously to approve a loan for Deseret Landco LLC, to renovate the lumber building at 190 S. Main St.?Deseret Landco is renovating the structure for Deseret Health Group, the contracted tenant. ?The loan will be repaid over a 10-year period at 3 percent interest.?The RDA loan is being secured with a second deed of trust.?Earlier this year, the city council voted to approve a final site plan for development of a mixed-use project at the lumber site.?The project includes renovation of the lumber store into office space, the construction of a new three-story building immediately west of the lumber building and a new three-story multifamily facility west of the lumber building in the area where the lumber sheds are currently located. ?The three structures will add approximately 14 new apartments and 5,600 square feet of office space to Main Street.?Deseret Health Group plans to relocate to the renovated site. ?The company is a local health care management company that oversees facilities throughout the Midwest. ?DHG will put $855,000 into renovation of the building for new office space for its new headquarters, according to Jon Robertson, chairman of the health group, currently located on North Market Place Drive in Centerville.
