The Weber County Republican Women are holding a meeting Monday, Nov. 18.OGDEN — With the general election in the rearview, voters and elected candidates will now turn their attention to the work that needs to be done going forward. That includes the Weber County Republican Women group, which will hold its regular monthly meeting on an irregular day in November.
Due to the Veterans Day holiday falling on the second Monday of the month, the group will eschew its typical schedule and instead meet at 12 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 18, at the Weber County Sheriff’s Office Training Center, located at 1387 Depot Drive in Ogden.
Utah House Speaker Mike Schultz is slated to offer a legislative preview during the meeting. Lunch will also be served to attendees.
Schultz is the presumptive winner in the race for multi-county State House District 12, which covers Hooper, Roy, West Haven and parts of northern Davis County. As of Thursday afternoon’s unofficial tally, he had captured 9,834 votes while 3,813 had been logged for Democratic challenger Sharon Hilton.
