DAVIS COUNTY — Additional interstate closures are coming to help facilitate completion of the ongoing Shepherd Lane bridge project.

On Thursday, the Utah Department of Transportation sent out a press release notifying the public of upcoming closures of Interstate 15 over the next two weekends.

“This weekend on Saturday, June 14, southbound I-15 between 200 North and Park Lane will close from 9:30 p.m. through 11 a.m. on June 15,” the release said. “A week later, on Saturday, June 21, northbound I-15 between 200 North and Park Lane will close from 9:30 p.m. through 11 a.m. on June 22.”

The release noted that the closures will help in the removal of the now-shuttered Shepherd Lane bridge.

“UDOT is building a new interchange at Shepard Lane in Farmington to reduce congestion and enhance safety in the area,” the release said. “Not only will the interchange cross over Union Pacific Railroad and Utah Transit Authority tracks to create another connection to local roads, this project will also improve pedestrian and bike connectivity along Park Lane, and the ramps associated with I-15, US-89, and Legacy Parkway (State Route 67).”

The interchange is scheduled to be completed in late 2026.

Starting at $4.32/week.
