Memorial services for Russell M. Nelson, late president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, began Monday as thousands of church members paid their respects during a public viewing at the Conference Center in Salt Lake City.
Nelson’s funeral will take place at noon Tuesday at the Conference Center and is open to the public, ages eight and older.
Tickets are required to attend, and people are asked to be in their seats by 11:30 a.m. People seeking standby tickets are asked to line up outside the Tabernacle at 10:30 a.m.
The funeral will be broadcast on ChurchofJesusChrist.org, YouTube, BYUtv and KSL at noon and will be available in 38 languages.
A private burial service will take place following the funeral.

Nelson died Sept. 27 from causes incident to age at the age of 101.
