OGDEN — A Sunday evening shooting that left one person injured is under investigation.
Lt. Will Farr of the Ogden Police Department told the Standard-Examiner on Monday that officers were summoned to the 3500 block of Jefferson Avenue around 8:55 p.m. after receiving multiple reports of shots being fired.
“When officers arrived on the scene, there was no one on the scene, but they did find evidence that there had been a firearm discharged,” he said.
He said not long after arriving on scene, the police were notified of a person checking themselves into a local hospital with a gunshot wound. The individual’s injuries were determined to not be life threatening and they were subsequently interviewed by detectives.
Farr added that they do not have a suspect at this time and the case remains under investigation. No additional information is available at this time.
