Rep. Karianne Lisonbee

Karianne Lisonbee, who represents District 14 in Davis County in the Utah House and is challenging Blake Moore to represent Utah’s 2nd Congressional District, has received endorsements from a majority of the Republican members of the Utah House.

In total, 37 members of the House – all Republicans – endorsed Lisonbee. Not including Lisonbee, there are currently 60 Republicans in the House.

Lisonbee shared the news in a press release.

“I am grateful to receive the support of so many of my colleagues,” Lisonbee said in the release. “I’ve worked shoulder to shoulder with these friends as I’ve been a champion for life, the Second Amendment, balanced budgets, oversight and transparency, secure elections, and so many other important issues. I am proud of what we have accomplished together and I look forward to taking Utah’s greatness to Washington, DC.”

The list of Representatives who endorsed Lisonbee are:

The joint statement of Lisonbee’s colleagues read:

“Karianne is the right choice to represent Northern Utah in Congress. As her colleagues, we’ve witnessed firsthand her work ethic, integrity, and guiding principles. She’s a conservative champion who gets things done. We wholeheartedly support her and know that she has what it takes to be an effective lawmaker in DC, where she will make Utahns proud. Karianne lives in her district and is in touch with the needs of her neighbors. There is no better advocate for Utah and conservatism in this race for CD2 than our friend and colleague Karianne Lisonbee.”

Last week, Moore received the endorsements of Speaker of the U.S. House Mike Johnson and Jim Jordan.

The 2nd Congressional District is a reconfigured district covering Northern Utah after a court-ordered map reorganized the 1st Congressional District to be centered on Democrat-heavy Salt Lake County.
