Rep. Karianne Lisonbee

Karianne Lisonbee, who represents District 14 in Davis County in the Utah House and is challenging Blake Moore to represent Utah’s 2nd Congressional District, received another endorsement Wednesday – this time from the College Republicans of America.

The College Republicans of America promotes itself on X as “America’s largest national College Republican organization” with 300 chapters,

“The College Republicans of America are proud to endorse Karianne Lisonbee for Utah’s Second Congressional District,” read a statement from the organization on X. “For 16 years, Karianne Lisonbee has stood on the frontlines of policymaking, keeping the conservative movement strong.

“While serving as Utah’s Majority House Whip and throughout her years in politics, she prioritized protecting victims of domestic abuse, criminal justice reform, Second Amendment advocacy, and the prolife movement. Her focus on expanding gun rights and energy companies allowed Utah to succeed economically and conservatively.

“This race in Utah is crucial due to redistricting, which has created a new deep blue area that Democrats hope to take. The youth must show up and vote. Utah has the youngest population in the United States, the demographic who tends not to vote.

“It’s time to continue the conservative mission and fight for truth and common sense. Utah patriots show up to vote!”

In a repost of the endorsement on X, Lisonbee said:

“I am honored to be the first candidate in Utah to ever receive the endorsement of the largest College Republican organization in America! This is the generation most negatively impacted by the nonsense in Congress. They want real conservative leadership. Let’s go! @uscollegegop

On Tuesday, Lisonbee was endorsed by a majority of Republicans in the Utah House – 37 overall – and five state senators. Among the House members were Speaker Mike Schultz, Majority Leader Casey Snider, Majority Whip Candice Pierucci and Assistant Whip Bridger Bolinder.
