Firefighters respond to structure fire Wednesday; trailers, shed heavily damaged

An estimated $50,000 in damages occurred as a result of a fire in Weber County on Wednesday, March 25, 2026.WEBER COUNTY — No injuries were reported following a grass fire in Weber County Wednesday.
According to a post on the Weber Fire District Facebook page, crews were summoned to a report of a grass fire in the area of 2900 E in Weber County around 11:59 a.m. Wednesday. As the situation evolved, it was quickly upgraded to a structure fire.
“The initial report from a neighbor indicated a backyard fire,” the post said. “Upon arrival, Weber crews found a camp trailer fully engulfed. A second nearby trailer sustained heavy fire and smoke damage, along with a shed and miscellaneous equipment. The trailers were surrounded by mature pine trees, adding to fire risk and complexity.
“Crews initiated fire attack, deploying multiple hose lines from different angles. Thanks to a quick response and coordinated efforts, the fire was contained rapidly.”
The Facebook post added that the scene has been turned over to the Weber Fire District Fire Marshal’s Office for further investigation and an exact cause has yet to be determined.
During Wednesday’s fire, Weber Fire District was assisted by Ogden City Fire, North View Fire District, South Ogden City Fire, Hill AFB Fire and the Weber County Sheriff’s Office.
