OGDEN — The Quilted Bear located in Newgate Mall is looking for a new tenant to take over its 1,700-square-foot restaurant space inside the store.

The casual restaurant space was previously rented by Hungry Bear Bake Shoppe, but the restaurant recently closed the location and its other location in Sandy. Now owner Darren Dunford is looking for “somebody to be the right fit,” he said. 

Rent for the space, including utilities, is $1,000 per month, according to Dunford’s ad on KSL.com. Standard restaurant equipment is in place and available separately to rent, lease or buy from a previous tenant, Dunford said. 

“It’s low-risk and relatively low-cost,” Dunford said. He also mentioned that The Quilted Bear and the Newgate Mall would offer the new restaurant a built-in customer base. 

“You’re never going to find a better deal than that,” he said.
