Fast-growing HydroJug expanding operations in Business Depot Ogden

Ogden-based water bottle manufacturer HydroJug has grown 9,032% over the past three years, landing the local company on Inc. Magazine's list of the 5,000 fastest-growing private companies in the U.S.OGDEN — Ogden-based company HydroJug has experienced meteoric growth in its short lifetime.
Created in 2016, the local business recently was named to Inc. Magazine’s list of the 5,000 fastest-growing private companies in America, coming in near the top at No. 33 after experiencing 9,032% growth over the past three years.
The eco-friendly water jug maker also recently announced the latest in its expansion of operations. Currently headquartered at 1017 W. 600 North inside Business Depot Ogden, the company is currently constructing a second, 119,786-square-foot BDO facility at 175 N. 1140 West, expected to be complete in the spring of 2022.
“We feel incredibly fortunate to be a part of this growing community,” HydroJug founder and CEO Hayden Wadsworth said in an Ogden City news release. “We have received so much support, not only from Business Depot Ogden, but other local businesses and organizations around Ogden City. There is a lot of great talent in the area which has led to our significant growth and success. We look forward to making more of an impact on Ogden and to working with more awesome businesses in the area.”
HydroJug has expanded four times in the last four years due to an increasing need for more space, according to Wadsworth.
“This modern facility is in a prime location and perfectly meets the company’s growth needs,” Braxton Willie, director of commercial real estate group Newmark, which negotiated the lease of the new space, stated in a release by Utah Business.
Brothers Hayden and Jake Wadsworth created the reusable half-gallon water jug as a convenient, environmentally friendly option for people to stay hydrated after developing the idea while attending Weber State University.
Since the company’s inception in 2016, HydroJug estimates the elimination of roughly 1,237,000,000 single-use plastic bottles with BPA-free, sustainable water bottles by the use of its products.
