The Utah Department of Workforce Services' Administrative Offices stands Thursday, March 26, 2020, in Salt Lake City.

The Utah Department of Workforce Services is hosting a statewide virtual job fair from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday in celebration of Workforce Development Month. Approximately 100 Utah employers are participating in the free online event with thousands of open positions.

Full-time and part-time job openings are available in numerous industries including health care, construction, e-commerce, banking, government and aerospace.

“In this tight labor market, employers are offering competitive wages and benefits to attract new employees,” Workforce Development Division Director Liz Carver said in a press release.

DWS is offering an online workshop on Wednesday to help job seekers navigate the digital floor plan of the job fair in order to maximize the experience.

Interested job seekers need to preregister at jobs.utah.gov and create an account or sign in to “my job search.” Upon logging in on Thursday, participants will be directed to a digital floorpan with rows of booths, each one representing an employer.

Company information, job openings and social media can be found by clicking on an employer booth, where participants can start a live chat with a hiring representative.

For a complete list of participating employers or to search more than 75,000 job openings, visit jobs.utah.gov.

National Workforce Development Month is recognized every September, highlighting services and resources available to job seekers as well as employers to sustain economic security in Utah and across the country.
