Ogden and Weber School District students head back to class this week

Davis School District students celebrate the start of the school year on Thursday, Aug. 17, 2023. Classes start in Ogden schools on Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2023, while Weber School District schools start on Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2023.You will probably see more kids and teens out and about in Weber and Davis counties.
The end of summer looms and classes resume this week at Ogden School District and Weber School District schools.
Classes start for most students in Ogden on Tuesday, with kindergarteners beginning on Aug. 29. In the Weber School District, classes for most students begin on Wednesday, with kindergarteners also starting on Aug. 29.
Davis School District students, meantime, are already at it. They went back to classrooms on Thursday, though kindergarteners don’t begin until this Wednesday.
“We’re excited to kick off a new year of discovery, growth and endless possibilities. Welcome back, students!” Davis School District said in a statement.
