Forums to feature city council candidates from North Ogden, Hooper and Roy

A trifecta of city council candidate forums around Weber County is on tap for next week.
The League of Women Voters of Weber County is hosting public forums for city council candidates hoping to serve North Ogden, Roy and Hooper.
First up will be the Roy City Council candidate forum at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the Southwest Branch of Weber County Library. Candidates include Jeremy Brighton, Joe Paul, Claude Payne, Benjamin Pearson, Bryon Saxton, Jeremy Thompson, Trent Wilkins and David Young. Ann Jackson is listed as having a prior commitment, while Ethan Shepherd has given the group no response on the debate.
At 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, a forum is set for Hooper City Council candidates at the Hooper Civic Center. Candidates marked as attending include Wes Davis, Mike Elmer, Dale Fowers, Ryan Hill and Jennifer Stanger. Katie Hubbard and Cindy Cox are listed as having previous commitments while the group reportedly has been unable to reach Chris Paulsen.
The final debate is set for 6:30 p.m. Wednesday for North Ogden City Council candidates at the North Branch library. Attending candidates include Ryan Barker, Reed Miller, Chris Pulver, Phillip Swanson and Merrill Sunderland. Christina Watson and Tim Billings are listed as having prior engagements.
