Latest round of financial disclosures for Ogden mayoral candidates available

OGDEN — The latest financial disclosures for each of Ogden’s mayoral candidates are out and available for review.

The reports, submitted Oct. 24, represent the third round of reporting for this election cycle and the second since the primary.

Currently ahead in fundraising is Ben Nadolski, who received $47,036 in the Sept. 25-Oct. 24 reporting period. Of that amount, $46,375 came from donations over $50, while $661 was made up of donations under $50. Nadolski reported $30,187.69 in expenses during the reporting period and had a total of $68,384.99 on hand as of the end of the reporting period.

Notable contributors to the Nadolski campaign over the course of the donation period include Northern Wasatch Homebuilders of Ogden ($5,000), Brett Johnston of North Ogden ($5,000), Whitaker Construction Co. of Brigham City ($5,000), Rob Garner of Ogden ($3,000) and Leon Jones of Ogden ($3,000). Notable expenditures include $14,000 to Saunders Outdoor Advertising for billboards, $6,113.25 to Stone Mountain Press for campaign signs and $3,400 to Daniela Harding for campaign management services.

Taylor Knuth reported total contributions for the period of $38,057.12, with $37,167.65 of those donations being over $50. The remaining $889.47 came from amounts under $50. His campaign reported $19,984.92 in expenditures and he had $42,051.28 on hand at the end of the reporting period.

Notable donations included Droubay Redevelopment Co. LLC of Ogden ($5,000), Chris Abele of Milwaukee ($5,000), Equality Utah Political Action Community of Salt Lake City ($3,000), Paydirt LLC, ($2,500), Operating Engineers Local Union 3 of Concord, California ($2,500) and the LGBTQ+ Victory Fund PAC ($2,500) based in Washington, D.C. Notable expenditures included payments of $5,000 and $4,313.15  to Elevate Strategies for marketing and advertising.

The next financial disclosure deadline is Nov. 14, a week before the Nov. 21 election.
