Layton’s Summer Nights series to feature 38 Special, Starship and more

LAYTON — The lineup for the Summer Nights with the Stars concert series this year will include 38 Special, Starship, Blue Oyster Cult and more.
“Some of the biggest names in music will grace the Kenley Amphitheater stage,” the Davis Arts Council said in a statement announcing the lineup.
The Layton amphitheater, which seats under 2,000 people, is the venue for the annual summer series, now entering its 26th year. “In the Kenley Amphitheater, you are never more than 200 feet from the stage,” said Tessa Vaschel, the executive director of Davis Arts Council. “Being so close to the stage at a large show like 38 Special, even if you are sitting in the very back row, is a completely unique concert experience.”
The series starts June 16 with Starship and continues to Sept. 10 with a performance by the Bonner Family, the final show of the season. Other performers include the Brit Pack, America, Sara Evans, the Oak Ridge Boys, Kansas and more.
The season ticket purchasing and renewal period will go from Monday through Friday. New subscribers can purchase a general admission season ticket package beginning at $104 per person with the option to add special engagement events at a discounted rate before the general public on-sale date.

Individual show tickets go on sale to the general public on May 3, when they’ll be available for purchase online at davisarts.org/tickets, over the phone at 801-546-8575 or at the DAC box office at 445 N. Wasatch Dr., Layton. Phone and box office hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. through the end of April. Beginning May 1, box office hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
