Farmington runaway teens found safe in Magna
FARMINGTON — Four Farmington teenagers have been found and returned to their parents, three days after they were reported as runaways in potential danger.
Farmington Police Chief Eric Johnsen said Friday that the teens, two boys and two girls ages 14-15, were found safe on Thursday evening hiding in a secluded area of a park in Magna. He said Unified police took the teens into custody to be returned to their parents.
The teenagers were reported as runaways on Monday. Parents said the teens were seen at the Newgate Mall in Ogden getting into a car driven by an adult male. Parents said they feared the children might be in danger and that they might have been taken out of state, to Colorado or Idaho.
Johnsen said no adults were with the teens in Magna and that the children had not been harmed.
