CCS, United Way seek school supplies and those who need them
OGDEN — With schools to reopen later this month after the summer break, Catholic Community Services is seeking donations of school supplies through Friday for subsequent redistribution to students who need them.
The organization plans to distribute the items on Aug. 12, but those needing them need to make appointments to get the supplies by Friday.
“Every child deserves to go to school with the tools they need to succeed. You can make that a reality by participating in this year’s Backpack Bonanza!” reads the CCS website outlining the initiative.
Donations can be dropped off at the Ogden CCS location at 2504 F Ave. from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. through Friday. They can also be left at United Way of Northern Utah’s Ogden offices at 2955 Harrison Blvd., Room 201, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Accepted will be monetary donations as well as backpacks, paper, notebooks, colored pencils, glue sticks and more. Go to ccsutah.org/news/item/421-backpack-bonanza-2023 for more details.
