Sgt. Cameron Roden of the Utah Highway Patrol told the Standard-Examiner that Tyler Larsen, 23, Willard, was killed in the early morning hours of Saturday on Interstate 15.

According to a press release from the Department of Public Safety, the accident occurred around 1:44 a.m. Saturday when Larsen hit a concrete barrier while traveling north at milepost 343. He was thrown from the motorcycle into oncoming traffic and was hit by multiple southbound vehicles, causing fatal injuries. Both directions of travel were closed on I-15 until just after 6 a.m.

Roden said the accident remains under investigation.
