I-15 southbound lanes to close for 3 nights in Davis County
Drivers planning to traverse Interstate 15 in Davis County this weekend may encounter road closures related to ongoing construction of the new West Davis highway project.
The Utah Department of Transportation will be closing southbound lanes of I-15 between Park Lane in Farmington and Parrish Lane in Centerville overnight for three days, beginning late Friday, in order to place beams for a new bridge connecting northbound I-15 and the West Davis roadway.
While the highway is closed, drivers will be diverted onto Legacy Parkway.
Closures will occur at the following times on these days:
- 9:30 p.m. Friday until 8:30 a.m. Saturday.
- 9 p.m. Saturday until 11 a.m. Sunday.
- 8 p.m. Sunday until 5 a.m. Monday.
Once completed, the divided four-lane West Davis highway will carry motorists over 16 miles in western Davis County, between the I-15 and Legacy Parkway junction near Glovers Lane in Farmington and state Route 193 in West Point. Planned for more than a decade, initial construction is expected to be finished this summer, though an extension into Weber County is eventually envisioned.
