Motorcyclist killed in Wednesday morning crash at Roy intersection

ROY — A 25-year-old man on a motorcycle was killed in a collision with another vehicle Wednesday morning.

According to a report by KUTV, the crash occurred around 4:30 a.m. near the intersection of 4800 South and 1900 West in Roy.

Roy Police Department spokesperson Stuart Hackworth told the news outlet that the motorcyclist was traveling south on 1900 West while a vehicle was traveling north in the turn lane at the intersection with 4800 South.

According to Hackworth, the driver of the other vehicle said he did not see the motorcyclist. Hackworth added that the driver of the passenger vehicle was cooperating with police and that there were no signs of impairment.

The Standard-Examiner reached out to Hackworth on Wednesday evening, but no new information was available as of press time.
