Riverdale man dies in Brigham City car crash Saturday

A fatal crash involving a Riverdale man occurred Saturday, April 6, 2024, at 807 W. Forest St. in Brigham City.

BRIGHAM CITY — A Riverdale man is dead after crashing into a building in Brigham City on Saturday night.

The man was identified in a Brigham City Police Department release as 20-year-old Brendyn Miller of Riverdale.

According to the release, authorities were dispatched to the scene at 807 W. Forest St. at approximately 10:30 p.m. Saturday following reports that Miller’s vehicle had crashed into the building there. Witnesses indicated that the vehicle became fully engulfed in flames following the crash.

Police say the vehicle struck a fuel line, causing the flames. Miller reportedly was the vehicle’s sole occupant at the time.

The cause of the crash is currently unknown, and the investigation is ongoing.

As a result of the crash, 800 West was closed between 50 South and Forest Street while the Brigham City Fire Department monitored the damaged structure.

“Brigham City Police and Fire Departments would like to offer their heartfelt condolences to the family and ask that the family not be bothered in their time of grieving,” the release stated.
