Artists are wanted for Ogden City Arts, Culture & Events' upcoming "Animals Show." Submissions are due by 4 p.m. June 3, 2024.

OGDEN — The next Community Art Show is going to the animals.

Ogden City Arts, Culture & Events is putting out an artists call for its upcoming “Animals Show.”

“Artists are invited to submit their art for the show by Monday, June 3rd at 4 p.m.,” a press release said. “Artists are limited to (2) entries that have been completed within the past two years.”

According to the event’s website, “The Animals Show is offering artists the opportunity to share their images of any animal — real or created in the artist’s imagination. Consider a portrait of a pet or an animal in the wild. Creatures may also be figments comprised of imaginary animal elements.”

The site adds that two- and three-dimensional art will be accepted and that the show is open to artists of all ages who reside in Utah. Original works in any medium are acceptable, but reproductions are not.

The release added that works will be displayed at Union Station.

“Union Station, which anchors historic 25th Street, has two art galleries and an ongoing display of antique automobiles, historic Browning firearms, artifacts, and a large variety of locomotives and railway history,” the release said. “The collaboration with Ogden City Arts to host the Community Art Show is a wonderful opportunity for creatives in Utah to showcase their work.”
