Bank of Utah’s third annual Where’s the Wallet Cash Quest ended in a record time of just 10 days when Stazie R., Koaly B. and Jennete B. of Springville, Utah, found the hidden wallet on the Yellow Fork Trail in Herriman, Utah.
The winning team walked away with $10,000 in cash and have the opportunity to donate another $10,000 to the Utah Kids Foundation, the local charity of their choice. In addition, the team received a two-night stay at Black Desert Resort in Southern Utah and a custom leather wallet from Stock & Barrel.
Bank of Utah’s Where’s the Wallet Cash Quest challenges Utahns to follow weekly social media clues to locate a hidden wallet somewhere in the state.
“We’re deeply grateful to Bank of Utah for organizing the quest and bringing this kind of excitement and generosity to the community,” said Jennete. “This experience has been such a blessing for our family, and we feel so thankful to be able to take a trip to Hawaii together. Most importantly, we’re honored to give back by donating to the Utah Kids Foundation.”
Utah Kids Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to supporting Utah’s special needs families and caregivers by providing essential medical supplies, support programs, disability-friendly events and a comprehensive online support forum.

Utah fuel prices on repeat for another week
No news is good news for drivers as gas prices stayed on track this past week, with the national average returning to $3.16 after a few dips.
Meanwhile, Utah gas prices dropped a penny to an average of $3.37. That’s down 28 cents since last year when Utahns were paying $3.65 per gallon.
With crude oil prices remaining steady, there’s no indication gas prices will make any drastic moves.
“The summer of lower pump prices continues, as the busy driving season nears its end,” said John Treanor, spokesperson, AAA Mountain West Group. “As we enter peak hurricane season, storms affecting gas production and distribution are something to keep an eye on.”
Ogden is tied for the lowest average rate for a gallon of unleaded gas in the major metro areas at $3.35 per gallon.
