Ogden Mayor Ben Nadolski tosses T-shirts into the crowd at Copper Nickel Events following his State of the City address Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2025.OGDEN — It’s been a busy year since Ogden Mayor Ben Nadolski introduced the “Ogden Way” at the 2025 State of the City address in January.
And in a few weeks time, Nadolski will have the opportunity to update the public on this framework of business and where the city is going in the coming year during the State of the City event at Ogden Union Station, set for Thursday, Jan. 8, 2025.
“The community is invited to join Mayor Ben Nadolski for the annual State of the City Address at Ogden’s historic Union Station, the State of the City’s Facebook event page reads. “This gathering brings residents, partners, and local leaders together for an evening centered on our city’s momentum and the shared values that shape our future.”
The Museums at Union Station will open ahead of the address at 4 p.m. and be free to visit. The main event begins at 6 p.m. with a community social in the Grand Lobby and the mayor’s remarks at 7 p.m.
“Mayor Nadolski will highlight key efforts from the past year, outline priorities for the year ahead, and share the vision guiding Ogden’s continued growth,” the event page continues. “It’s an opportunity to come together, reflect on where we’ve been, and look forward to what’s possible when we work as one community.”
During his first State of the City address earlier this year, the event took on the atmosphere of a pep rally for Ogden.
“I see a whole room of winners,” he said, enthusiastically greeting the large crowd assembled for the address at Copper Nickel Events in January. “I see a city of champions built by champions. Every person in this room is a champion. Every person in this room has given their blood, their sweat and their tears for this city. That’s what makes us great.”
