Layton Hills Mall announces free community events

Layton Hills Mall in Layton is pictured Monday, March 22, 2021.LAYTON — Free events for children, families, seniors and collectors will be held at Layton Hills Mall in the coming weeks, the mall has announced.
Friday at 2:30 p.m., seniors from Clearfield’s Chancellor Gardens Senior Living will hold a Valentine’s Day-themed flash mob performance. According to the announcement, participants wearing red will sing and dance to classic love songs in celebration of Valentine’s Day.
The flash mob performance will occur in the mall’s center court.
On Monday, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Fairytale Fun Fest — featuring performers from the Layton-based theater group OPPA! (On Pitch Performing Arts) — will take over the space.
The event will include live character appearances, a DJ, face painting and craft activities.
Finally, the Sports Card Memorabilia & Collectibles Show is returning to the mall and will run from Feb. 28 to March 2. The three-day event is dedicated to sports card and memorabilia collectors and will feature a variety of vendors, displays and collectibles.
Per the release, the show will provide “a chance for fans and collectors to browse, buy and trade unique memorabilia.”
