WSU’s Arts in the Parks programming set to begin next week; Science in the Parks to start June 9

Weber State University announced in a press release that Arts in the Parks will begin Monday and Science in the Parks will begin June 9. Each will be held in its respective parks from noon to 1 p.m. throughout the week and coincide with Ogden School District’s free summer lunch program.
According to the press release, daily activities will include:
- Mondays: visual arts with collages and sculptures
- Tuesdays: literary arts with storytelling, treasure maps and book-making
- Wednesdays: dance with tambourines and dance streamers
- Thursdays: theater with masks, hats and puppets
- Fridays: music with banjos, rain sticks and maracas
Daily themes for Science in the Parks include:
- Mondays: see it
- Tuesdays: hear it
- Wednesdays: build it
- Thursdays: move it
- Fridays: feel it
Dates and locations for Arts in the Parks are as follows:
- June 2-6 at Lorin Farr Park (769 Canyon Road)
- June 9-13 at Monroe Park (850 30th St.)
- June 16-20 at Marshall White Center (222 28th St.)
- June 23-27 at West Ogden Park (751 W. 24th St.)

No activities will be held on June 19 in observance of Juneteenth.
