OGDEN — With summer on its way out the door, Ogden is preparing to welcome autumn with a long-standing tradition.

The Harvest Moon Celebration, presented by the Ogden Downtown Alliance, is set to make its return this Saturday, Sept. 20, from 10 a.m.-9 p.m. on Historic 25th Street.

Jessica Anderson, marketing manager at the Ogden Downtown Alliance, told the Standard-Examiner that — as always — there’s a plethora of activities available for the whole family.

“The Harvest Moon Celebration is one of Ogden’s most beloved annual traditions,” she said. “Historic 25th Street from Wall Avenue to Grant Avenue turns into a gated beer garden where you can walk up and down the street, browsing all that Harvest Moon has to offer with a drink in hand, and it’s also a really family-friendly event too. We’ll have the Municipal Park chock full of 36 community activities that are all fall-themed and it’s just a perfect way to celebrate the end of summer.”

She said they expect 30,000 people at this year’s event

Cecily Kiss, community partnerships director at the Ogden Downtown Alliance, told the Standard-Examiner there’s even more in store for the public this year.

“We’ve added even more interactive experiences to the event’s footprint,” she said. “We’re also featuring some new fall-themed photo stations throughout Historic 25th Street so you can capture your Harvest Moon memories and share them with friends. We are excited to be partnering with the Ogden Curling Club. They’ll be bringing three curling lanes for folks to try their hand at the sport. We’ll have axe throwing and we’ll have a rock climbing wall, and this year, we are introducing a kid’s hay maze to our footprint as well.”

According to a press release on the 2025 Harvest Moon Celebration, the following acts will be available throughout the day:

  • “10:00 AM – Wood Carver at Main Stage

Anderson noted there are volunteer opportunities available.

“We do still have volunteer shifts open,” she said. “Volunteers do receive a free bandana and some slices of pizza from Lucky Slice and it’s a lot of fun.”

She said it’s exciting to see what the Harvest Moon Celebration has become over the years.

“There’s so many people that helped bring the magic to this event,” she said. “It’s just always exciting every year every time it comes around and it’s so fun to be a part of and bring such a fun experience to the community.”
