“From what the police officer said, the front desk clerk said that she thought she was going in reverse,” Jennifer McBride, general manager of the Best Western Plus High Country Inn, told the Standard-Examiner. “She thought she had it in reverse, and then when she went to adjust, her slipper got stuck.”

The driver went onto the curb, through a sign and into the support column. An attempt was made to reverse the vehicle but it was stopped, and fluid was seen leaking from the front left end of the vehicle.

McBride said nobody was hurt. She said fortunately nobody was walking in the area, which was the lobby entrance to the building.

“So we’re very grateful that everybody’s OK,” she said. “No injuries; just property damage. And a little kink in wedding day plans.”
