6 file documents for Ogden City Council seat, bringing applicant total to 9

Alexander Castagno, Sheri Morreale, Eric Holmes, Jeremy Shinoda, Jose Torres and Rick Southwick have all submitted conflict-of-interest and financial disclosures.
The six join Jeremy Peterson, Arlene Anderson and Jeffrey Heiner on the list of qualified applicants.
Castagno is an Agile Team Leader who does project and program management for ARUP Laboratories, according to his conflict-of-interest disclosure.
Morreale did not list an occupation or job on his conflict-of-interest disclosure.
Holmes is a senior project manager who manages internal and data projects for Salt Lake City Corporation, according to his conflict-of-interest disclosure.
Shinoda is a senior buyer for Westinghouse Electric Company, according to his conflict-of-interest disclosure. He recently completed his first term on the Ogden Planning Commission, which ran from Sept. 13, 2022, to July 1, 2026, according to the Ogden City website.
Torres is a dietician for Sacred Circle Healthcare, according to his conflict-of-interest disclosure.
Southwick is an associate broker for eXp Realty, according to his conflict-of-interest disclosure. He is currently in his fifth term on the Ogden Planning Commission, which runs through July 1, 2028, according to the Ogden City website.
At Large Seat C is currently held by Shaun Myers, but he is vacating it to be in the presidency of the Ogden temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
The application window started Monday and runs through 5 p.m. July 15.
Verified applicants will be interviewed during a public council meeting at 5 p.m. July 21, and the appointed candidate will take office Aug. 1. Myers’ resignation is effective July 31. The appointed council member will complete Myers’ term, which ends January 2028.
Those interested must submit a resume, a letter of interest, a conflict-of-interest disclosure form and a campaign finance form in person to the Ogden City recorder, located on the second floor of the Municipal Building, 2549 Washington Blvd.
