Susan Lee extends lead over Lorene Kamalu in Davis County Commission Seat B race

Davis Country Commission Seat B candidate Susan Lee talks to the editorial board at the Standard-Examiner in Ogden on Wednesday, April 29, 2026.Susan Lee added 117 votes to her lead over two-term incumbent Lorene Kamalu in the Davis County Commission Seat B race, according to results posted Friday at 1:35 p.m. on the Davis County election page.
Lee now leads Kamalu by 782 votes overall (50.89% to 49.11%).
Lee expressed optimism in a Facebook post Thursday morning.
“The vote count is not officially over,” she said. “But the trend is positive and we remain hopeful. I believe I have to lose 22.3% of the remaining 1200 or so votes to lose. And there is the possibility of a recount.
“Regardless of how it plays out, thank you for supporting my campaign. I have met and talked to so many fantastic people in Davis County. It’s been a pleasure meeting each of you.
“Kudos to Lorene on running a great campaign and for her past 8 years of service.”
In the Davis County sheriff race, Jon Atkin’s advantage over Aaron Perry grew from 884 votes to 945 votes. Perry acknowledged Atkin as the winner in a Facebook post Thursday.
