As of right now, former President Donald Trump has not been charged with any crime in connection with the January 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol. Even if he is never charged and tried, he is responsible for inciting the insurrection which resulted in death, injury and damage. As President and Commander- in- Chief, he was in charge and should have instructed the rioters to leave the Capitol at once instead of waiting three hours and seven minutes and then sending them home and telling them he loved them and they were special.
