Letter: Lesser committed to those she serves, now and always

Nov 5, 2022

Dear Ogdenites,

I am writing today to ask you to support Rosemary Lesser, MD for House District 10. Rosemary was sitting on my porch about two years ago when my 14-year old son walked out to run across the street to hang out with his friends. I had the pleasure of introducing him to the first person who ever met him in 2007 when he was born — at the time she was Dr. Lesser to me. I told him about how she had to run a red light on that early December morning when he decided to come into the world to make it to the delivery room to catch him because that is how dedicated of a professional she was.

It still surprises me that my former OB/GYN has become one of the most engaged and trusted voices at the legislature representing the interest of Ogdenites like me along with others in northern Utah. Rosemary has taken her role to heart by not only showing up at the capitol building when required, but also by attending community events, visiting with local representatives like me regularly, and supporting not-for-profits doing the most essential services for our communities. She listens more than she talks, raises issues such as rising food costs even when many others would rather not address the day to day problems people face because they are not exciting but at the same time are the most challenging to fix. I am proud to call Rosemary my friend now that our relationship has moved beyond that of a doctor and patient — and who would I trust more than someone who raced to be with me as I delivered my child to represent us! Get out the vote and support someone who is there for us all!

Sincerely,

Angela Choberka
