Letter: In the spirit of Thanksgiving – this is a letter of gratitude

Nov 25, 2022

The last Saturday in November has come to be known as Small Business Saturday. As that day approaches and as the owner of Uinta Alpaca, I want to thank the many patrons we have who work to support those of us in the community. Our alpaca farm offers by-appointment only tours and shopping, definitely a unique business, and we are so grateful when our visitors go out of their way to support us.

It’s important for us to stay active in the community and ensure folks know that we exist and have a lot to offer. One way we do this is by using Facebook Events for our open farm days that we have throughout the year. This simple tool allows us to reach people we may not have otherwise. In fact, every time we do, we find that people we don’t even know are sharing our events and promoting them to their friends and family. Just this month, we had more than 400 people come to our Baby Alpaca Day. It is through community engagement like this that all of our small businesses are bound to do better.

So, go out, find a small business to support, even if it is just sharing something on social media, you’ll never know the impact you may have.
