I was stunned when U.S. Attorney David Weiss was appointed Special Counsel over Hunter Biden’s case; especially after listening to the testimonies of Gary Shapley and Joseph Zielger. I heard Attorney Weiss’ name being mentioned several times by them as supposedly having all access to info (even from our U.S. Attorney General) and then not having access when the two longstanding reputable IRS employees were investigating. I worked for a health insurance company in a department that investigated claims for erroneous, duplicate and fraudulent charges.

I hesitated, in disbelief, in writing about what seems like duplicity. The U.S. Attorney General had to be told by the appointee, that he should be appointed when both stated he had prior to the controversial plea deal?

If I or my children had not paid taxes, to the amount in this case – I think I would be in jail. If I or my children had a gun and was using drugs, would I be given a break for any future crime?

Then during the past week, I have heard discourse from both sides. I have listened to the U.S. President give a speech in Wisconsin, and questioned some of his statements.

Then I heard a host on a news channel, who used to be a press secretary, ask a guest why the economic policy is so unpopular, and the guest stated he felt people do not understand?

To be clear, I voted for the Republican Party in 2016 and 2020 as I did not like the opposing candidates, and I was not a strong supporter of the party’s choice either time – but hoping the party could make good changes.

At this point – I believe there are two bullies who have been leading – one who raises his fist, and one who bares his teeth. Both may be smart, and have good ideas – but poor performance.

I believe the Inflation Reduction Act stands for Inflation of most of the necessities of life and Reduction in ability to purchase those necessities.

I worry about the future – and do not plan to vote for either of the persons who ran in the last election!
