This is in response to Ben Watkins letter “A drastic plan to prevent Trump from appearance on ballot”.

It’s not a matter of trusting Utah Republicans picking their candidate. I’m pretty sure the majority of Republicans know who their candidate is and it’s “DONALD J. TRUMP”. You’re actually asking that the Democrats pull a way of cheating in the elections. “Utah Democrats should take matters into their own hands. I urge all Utah Democrats to change their party affiliation to Republican in time for the Utah GOP “Preference Poll” and caucus, and unitedly choose a GOP candidate other than Donald Trump.

Does this person think he’s not admitting to commit fraud? I think it’s foolish to write something in this way. You have no right to refer to the constitution “hanging by a thread”. What you are saying is that once you changed your party affiliation to Republican from Democrat; you will try to change the outcome of the GOP primary for president in Utah. You then urge Democrats across the nation to do the same. “This is admitting to commit fraud”. Then what, you get these low polling GOP candidates that have not a rat’s chance against Trump or the Democrats to run. Next, you will change back to the Democrat Party and vote in the Democrat choice to the 2024 election for president? You wonder, if this works, who will be behind the curtain this time to retain power?
