Letter: Congressman Moore supports a clean energy future
Utahns across the state are concerned about energy costs and proposed energy policies that would jeopardize jobs, reduce our energy choices, and increase costs for everything from gas to groceries. Luckily, our state has embraced an “all of the above” energy strategy to drive a balanced and diversified energy portfolio.
I recently had the opportunity to visit Washington, D.C. during the annual fly-in hosted by Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions (CRES) and the Conservative Energy Network (CEN) to share my perspective on the changing energy landscape. Together, over 50 leaders from across the country spoke with members of Congress about policies to increase American energy production, reduce global emissions and support the U.S. economy.
Representative Blake Moore is working to advance all-of-the-above energy policy solutions. As a member of the Conservative Climate Caucus, he plays an integral role in reducing barriers in the permitting and regulatory process to ensure national security and American energy independence.
Congress needs to continue its focus on fostering commonsense energy solutions. We can develop American-made energy, promote innovation, lower energy prices, and be responsible stewards of our environment. Representative Moore understands the important role of clean energy in our nation’s future, and I trust that he will continue to work hard to advance balanced solutions that put the interests of Americans first.
