I was born and raised in Ogden. It will always be my home, and that home is at a critical crossroads today. The person you select to be Ogden’s next mayor is more important than ever. I highly recommend you vote for Mr. Ben Nadolski.

I met Ben a year ago, through his position on Ogden’s City Council. As part of the group dedicated to protect the heritage and history of Ogden’s Union Station campus, we have often addressed council sessions to voice our concerns with plans to redevelop the area.

For those of you who may not know it, anyone addressing the Council has three minutes to speak. No discussion is allowed. It’s comparable to yelling into the Grand Canyon for three minutes, except there, you at least get an echo back, instead of dead silence.

In the meetings I’ve attended, the only council member ever, to stop and briefly discuss issues with us after the meeting, is Ben Nadolski. He’s done that several times, while every other member rapidly headed for the exit.

Our group has maintained an open invitation to the mayor’s office, council members, other city staff, etc., to meet with us. To date, Ben Nadolski is the only one who’s accepted the invitation. Even his wife Jaynee has joined us.

Ben understands what being a “representative of the people and for the people” means. He treats everyone with respect. He has a vision for a better Ogden. He’s a proficient communicator and knows first hand what problems Ogden faces. He has served with distinction on the city council for years, and he knows where the bodies are buried. There is no ‘business as usual’ for Ben. I have found him to be honest and open and he understands that cooperation leads to success. Most importantly, Ben Nadolski will actively listen to you, the taxpayers and citizens of Ogden, Utah.

I care what happens to Ogden, and I believe you do, too. Please vote in the upcoming election. And remember, a vote for Ben Nadolski is a vote for the betterment of the city we love.
