I have always been taught that America was a country “of the people, by the people and for the people”. It seems nowadays that it is a country “of the Party, by the Party, and for the Party”. Are our senators and representatives so afraid of not getting re-elected and feel the ire of their party that they don’t dare vote the will of the people they supposedly represent?
