Letter: Move governance forward with a new generation of leaders
The graduating class of 1999 entered higher education as the internet and computing revolution took full command of economic progress and technological innovation. We were deciding our career paths as the Twin Towers fell. We were entering the workforce as the housing market and general economy collapsed. We have entered what should be our most productive years on the tail end of a global pandemic in the midst of extreme measures to curb access to credit and fight extreme inflation.
I’m not setting this up as a sob story. My point is that leaders in our generation know how to problem solve in challenging circumstances, and we know how to respond to the world we grew up in and move it forward. I fully support Levi Andersen as the next person to take the Ogden City Council At Large Seat C. I hope in two years, the many powerful women in Ogden who want to see their own gender better represented will run for the next round of open seats. Nothing can stop people who are determined to move forward.
