What does it say about a political party when the front runner and likely nominee to represent it in the 2024 presidential election has 4 indictments with 91 felony counts? Where has the moral fiber gone to and what will the rest of the world think about this country which is supposed to be the shining light on the hill when it has someone of low character and morals facing two state and federal indictments representing it and could be the next country’s and world leader? And even more sad is the fact that the front runner, Donald J. Trump is the same one who mishandled and lied about the seriousness of Covid-19 which led to the death of hundreds of thousands if not the million who lost their lives while he was in office. Not to mention that because of his careless tax cuts to the very rich and domestic policies added $7.8 trillion dollars to the deficit or roughly 25% of our total national debt incurred over the last 230 years which occurred during the four years of the Trump administration. Think about that, 25% of our entire national debt all during the Donald J. Trump years, and the majority of people in that party including those currently serving in congress wanting to have him once again as our president. As I asked above, whatever happened to the moral fiber of that once proud party of Lincoln and Reagan? As the late and former President Dwight D. Eisenhower once said, “If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.”
