Letter: Trump’s ‘core values’ bad for America, not reflective of Utah

Mar 7, 2024

Every voter in Utah should read Mr. Greg Sanders letter (Thursday February 29, 2024.) What are the “core values” of the Republican voters in Utah? Mr. Sanders mentions several of Trump’s values that have been in the news lately. Fraud, sexual assault, hush money and grabbing women’s private parts! This is ok to our Republican Legislators? Do our legislators tell their children to be like Trump? Do they tell their children to lie to other people? Do they teach their children to call people “names” and say bad things about them? Do they tell their children to be dishonest in their dealings with their fellow man? Do they tell their children to “get even” with people they perceived to have wronged them? I don’t think any parent should teach their children to do these things! These seem to be things Trump holds as “core values.”

I see somebody named Walton is running for Senator Mitt Romney’s Senate seat! Senator Romney has been a beacon of intelligence and moderation in representing Utah! Walton seems like another Trump puppet telling untruths about our southern border! Utah needs another honest Senator like Romney, not another like Lee!

Trump is all for himself and not for what is best for America! I like to think Utah has “core values” like honesty, truth, respect for our fellow man, respect for women charity in our hearts and be proud of what we accomplish! Utah is a great state! Let’s just get great people to run it!

Thanks!
