An open letter to Rob Axson, Utah Republican Party Chairman:

I got a text asking for my feelings about the caucus situation, so here are my thoughts.

Tuesday last I got another text or two urging me to vote. In order to do so, I was told I had to come at 5pm and stay till 7pm when the voting would take place. Isn’t that a kind of “poll tax”? Anyway, it effectively prevented me from participating. My wife and I were disenfranchised. We are 75 yrs old, lifetime Republicans. We don’t need a “community experience.” We need to vote. We need a primary with mail in ballots.

What you did manipulated the electorate to favor only the most energetically involved, the MAGA group. Don’t kid yourself–you are as transparent as air.

The same disenfranchisement happened in 2016 when the caucuses voted for Ron Paul, but the committee overruled and placed the Trump on the ballot.

I am switching my party registration to Democrat. Nothing that they will do in office is as bad as what Trump has already done to our democracy. Just look at what he has done to YOU.
