Letter: Veterans event looking to honor those in Northern Utah
The Brigham City second annual Veterans Day Banquet and Awards Ceremony is scheduled for November 11 at 6:00 p.m. During last year’s inaugural event, five Box Elder County veterans were recognized and all veterans in attendance received a challenge coin.
This year, the selection committee has expanded the nomination area to northern Utah. Nominations are accepted online, or forms can be picked up at the Community Center and filled out by hand. Five northern Utah veterans will be selected for recognition at the banquet. Please nominate your Veteran by completing the Nomination Form in detail. Only with the help of the community will we be able to honor those Northern Utah Veterans for their courage and sacrifice.
Any community member(s) are invited to attend the banquet, which includes dinner and a program in addition to the award presentation. The event is free, but tickets are required. This event is semi-formal, so please dress accordingly.
