We all know who is in charge of Congress and Washington, D.C. It’s America’s present-day Robin Hood — only in reverse. This Robin Hood takes from the poor and needy to give tax breaks to America’s most wealthy. Do these millionaires really need a tax break? Are the struggling to feed their families or to pay for a rood over their heads? Where is the compassion for the underdogs?

Instead of decreasing the deficit, I understand we are increasing it by $3.4 trillion. Trillions, no less.

Does our border problem bother anyone? We were told the worst of the worst offenders would be deported first. It’s reminiscent of the Germans hunting down all of the Jewish people and shipping them off to concentration camps. Just how many of our innocent immigrants will be incarcerated in our soon-to-be Florida Alcatraz?

Thousands of hard-working, honest immigrants are in jeopardy. Their only crime is crossing America’s border to work and hope for the American Dream for their families.

Yes, they are guilty of breaking the law. Take a look at all of the laws our president has broken. It seems like 36 in the state of New York and how many in Georgia? Let’s not forget the coup in Washington on Jan. 6, 2020. Should he be sent to Alcatraz in Florida? There is absolutely no justice in our government today.

Our democracy is at stake but our GOP leaders do not care. They are so afraid of what Trump is capable of. We should all get on our knees and pray that American democracy survives the next 3.5 years.

Everyone needs to read the Declaration of Independence the Americans have fought and died for over the last 250 years. I ask are there enough American citizens who even care?
