Letter: Endorsements support Ogden city council member Ken Richey
I am writing to express my enthusiastic support for Ken Richey’s re-election to the Ogden City Council. As a resident of Ogden, I have had the opportunity to witness firsthand the positive impact Mr. Richey has made on our community, and I believe his continued service is essential for Ogden’s progress.
During his time on the Ogden City Council, Mr. Richey has consistently demonstrated a commitment to fiscal management and transparency, economic development, and supporting local businesses. I have been particularly impressed with Mr. Richey’s involvement with the Ogden/Weber Chamber Spikers, the GOAL Foundation, the Wildcat Club and several other local volunteer organizations. He’s been a champion of Ogden’s revitalization of downtown. He listens to constituents and works collaboratively with other Council and City officials before making decisions. He is a tremendous asset to our city.
What sets Mr. Richey apart is not only his dedication to the big issues but also his accessibility and genuine care for the everyday concerns of Ogden residents. I appreciate his willingness to be responsive to emails, that he cares about Ogden, and that he’s been visible at community events. His open and honest communication has helped foster a greater sense of trust and engagement between the City Council and the people of Ogden.
Ogden faces complex challenges, and we need proven leaders who can navigate these issues with integrity and a clear vision for the future. Ken has consistently shown that he possesses the experience, judgment, and dedication to continue serving our community effectively.
I wholeheartedly support Ken’s re-election and will be proud to cast my vote for him.
Sincerely,
Jeff Heiner

During my 46 years of fire service, including 30 years as Chief of the Ogden Fire Department, I came to deeply appreciate the critical importance of teamwork between city administration and the city council. The success of our department, and the high level of public safety we consistently provided to the residents of Ogden, were built upon this spirit of collaboration and mutual trust.
This is why I am proud to endorse City Council member Ken Richey for re-election. Ken has consistently demonstrated leadership, commitment, and courage needed to address difficult issues head-on. He focuses on proven best practices, challenges inefficiencies, and ensures that priorities truly serve the needs of our community. Ken listens, engages in thoughtful dialogue, and works collaboratively while leading with integrity. I am confident that he will continue to move Ogden forward while protecting and strengthening the vital services our residents depend upon.
It is my firm belief that Ken Richey is the type of council member who will serve all the people of Ogden with dedication and vision. I wholeheartedly encourage you to join me in supporting his re-election.
