Letter: Military time would be better spent than in Hegseth meeting
My husband and I found it very interesting to see the top military brass attend the recent meeting called by Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth. We are sure the military officers could have made better use of their time rather than listen to the Secretary of Defense talk about, among other things, not wearing beards and that he didn’t want any “fat generals” in the military.
However, we thought the biggest waste of time was hearing President Trump ramble on and on about many things that did not pertain to the military at all. For example, he rambled on about how he walks slowly down the stairs of Air Force One and former President Obama would bounce down the stairs of Air Force One. Would does “old bone spurs” know about the military? He didn’t even serve.
